So, right before we left for our trip I had to go in to the Doctor's office for a visit to see if my jaw pain I was getting is a TMJ thing. Looks like that's the case but was referred to UW for further investigation so was going to have to do this after we got back. The to see the dentist due to a broken molar. This was all within a week of leaving so no time to do anything about it. Being so remote, I remember there not being doctor & dentist options on the island so needless to say I was a bit nervous about how it would all behave.
.The information below was provided on an informational brochure at the Tahiti Airport while we were waiting to catch our flight to Bora Bora. Hopefully this information will help out more North American Travelers. Remember, it's a small remote island which is most of the appeal of this place, but it also means resources are limited and their hours are too. Hopefully this will help in case of an emergency or pre-travel planning for those with special needs or whatever your purpose!

General Bullet Points:
The Bora Bora airport is located on a private island on the outskirts of the main island. These smaller outter islands are called motus. The airport can be found on Motu Mute. Each resort has a shuttle boat that will take you from the airport to your point of destination. Or Air Tahiti can also provide this service.
It's approximately 15 minutes by boat to your resort. Most of the resorts are located on the opposite side of the island than the airport.
